So I wasn't real happy with any of the videos I found online for the Easy2Start system. So, if you want something done right, .......

This is the first How-To video I've attempted, so bear with me, hopefully I'll get better! ==c

Nice - I have never seen the easy start stuff. Looks really handy for some...and if that doesn't work they can just hit the tree with their purse.;lol

Side note: ya know how you get a mental picture of someone when you are on the phone or even a forum? Well, I had you pretty well envisioned.;)

Great video. Nice to see actual useful information on YT for a change instead the usual hokey stuff.

Good video . . . and an interesting feature . . . not sure I would need that easy start feature, but I can see how it would be handy for some folks.

I certainly don't "need" it either but I gotta admit it is sweet. I pick this thing up, give it a half-hearted tug and we're off. I can make a couple quick cuts and then go back to whatever I was doing before.

Hmmm....I am thinking "MasterMech Training Videos". Online now for download from Amazon. Need a manager??

For sure folks with the dreaded bad shoulder problem could use the easystart and learn to like it really well.

What exactly is the mechanism that makes that system work ? It's pretty darned ingenious !

Nice video. Never new about the easy2start feature on the Stihls.

Nixon, it's a combination of a spring and ratchet (but a silent one) that stores up however much energy you put into it via pulling the rope. Once it overcomes engine compression, the spring discharges enough additional energy combined with the inertia of the engine flywheel to spin the engine over several times, quite rapidly.
