Roxul to seal damper and top of chimney what type of Roxul??

Went to Lowes and saw a few different types of Roxul what is best to seal a fireplace damper and tip of chimney for a insert install? I saw Roxul R30 comfort batt i believe at lowes and safe and sound R15.
 
Only difference should be the thickness. Just depends on which way you want to shove it in there.
 
I got the R15, if your like the rest of us your gonna have a lot left over so get the cheaper package.

Yup. You are gonna be packing it in. R value means nothing in that context.
 
I installed quite a bit above the stove then placed my homemade block off plate. I chose the thinnest Roxul they had (3.5 inch) so it would be easier cut and stuff up there.
