I think I read somewhere that it takes about 600° to cure the paint properly.

Nice job!
Love the smell of stove paint curing.
smells like....victory.
Looking forward to the reports when you get it above 600::F, and burn times, and firebox dimensions, and....

I want a TN. I don't need one. I don't have a place for one. I'm not giving up my Woodstock. I may have to build something that needs heat.
I think they look great and like the practicality. I need to talk someone I know into buying one so I can brag on it first hand.

That's funny.
I'd swap my 13 for one, but can't justify spending an additional $400 over purchase price (what I paid for the 13-$550).
But, my 13 is still on the pallet, if the TN19 is that much better, I may change my mind.
Time will tell.

Congrats, looks beautiful.;) I didn't realize this little guy, when I bought my NC-13 either. When I create my man cave for upstairs... Oh stop.... this place creates too many dreams.....I'll be interested in here the report in the spring on how this stove runs.

I like the looks of the 13NC but not the hearth requirements! The TN19 requires ember protection only so install is a breeze. I will be interested in burn times of the TN19 as well. My T5 has a similar size firebox and I have a large pile of hot coals with the blower still running after burning for 10 hrs. :) Over the past 12 hrs. my high inside temp was 73 and low is 69 with temps in the 20's with wind blowing.. If the TN19 can do this it will be a winner. I noticed you can get the TN19 with a pedestal base which on that stove looks much better in my opinion.. In my home it has to be cast iron and I like soapstone but the wife doesn't..

Jeff I love the window. Rookie mistake. Well will be the first thing I teach someone.
Be careful not to break the glass because it is actually clear ceramic glass and expensive..

Brandon just left here with enough dry wood for a day's worth of burning and some good advice too .. Already have him using Super Cedars and now he has dry wood to see what this stove can do.. I would expect at 8 hr. burns with that stove as this one just went for over 10 hrs. and had a big pile of hot coals.. The TN19 has reburn tubes instead of a baffle like the T5 has so I wonder how will effect burn time.. Relight took under 15 seconds.. Not too shabby for a secondary burn stove.

Got back from Rays and loaded the stove up temp in house was 64. Went out side to do some splitting. Came back in about an hour later. WOW. Good wood does work well. I have the stove almost all the way closed to the right. I am going to take a nap now. Lol. Thanks Ray and the team with the advise.

You're welcome! I think you know the difference dry wood makes.. Did your secondaries light off (burn tubes with flame)? You will have to post a pic when it's cruising along and run a full load and let us know the burn time and other stats :)

Mix of ash, red oak, locust with a hint of cherry and maple..

Vent closed. Loaded it 1/4 way at 9:30. Just reloaded. Secondary's are fired. I can not imagine this stove at 550

He does move fast.. was a 2 weeks before I could nap with the stove lit.. lol

And like most who say "I don't need no stinkin' window".. welcome to the fire gazzers club. I know they are out there, but no way would I have a stove without a view.

Ray l loaded 1/4 of that wood
Looking good! I'd say your secondaries are going well.. That stove can cook you out of the house lol.. On milder days like right now you need to run smaller fires then load up for overnight burns.. There is a learning curve with every stove and installation.. Lots of variables..

Sounds like you might need to get some heat circulating. How warm are other parts of the house?

Hi guys another question. I stocked the stove for the night about an hour ago and it is getting hot top of stove is 600 vent is closed to the right. Fire is rolling . What causes the glass to get dirty? It was dirty on the sides now it is creeping up from the bottom? Is this similar to a pellet stove to clean? What causes it?

Usually it's moisture in the wood that causes the build up on the glass. It also happens when you shut down the air intake too soon. Dryer wood usually burns hotter and keeps the glass clean.

Congrats on the new stove. Merry Christmas! If you can get your hands on some construction debris, or pallets you can cut that up and mix it in with your unseasoned cordwood. We all struggled through our first year. Get ahead on your wood supply so this is a non issue for next year.

Good choice with the stove. It looks great.

If you have wood very close to the glass, that might cause it to cloud up more as well...

Thanks everyone. I got 7 hours of sleep which means the stove went 7 hours. This morning there was still wood and a lot of hot coals. I piece of raybonz's wood and we are off again. Thanks again. As for the glass. I did throw in some damp stuff.
