Hello

Just had a fun time on this stove. See pic!

See 3 parts below and guess which stove they came from and what did they have in common?

Hint: The blower mounts with only two bolts because the back side goes into a flange.

No idea about the stove, but they have convection air movement in common - blower, vac switch, POF snap disc.

Good guess, because they all failed at the same time!

The convection blower was so loaded with dust, the bearing ceased and the motor over heated so the blower motor's thermal circuit kicked out. Then because the hot air was not being pushed out of the stove, the stove overheated and the Hi Limit switch blew! The switch could not be reset, then the vacuum switch got so much hot air that it was fried also! They all had to be replaced to make the stove run normal again!

Now maybe someone can guess the stove?

Ah a bucket of parts stove.

Yes, I have a big shelf of them but not sure if I should throw them out.
1st reason, I sold a fuse off a bad Magnum control board that was good for $2 because the guy wanted the exact replacement.
2nd reason, I used two auger motor bolts off a bad auger to fix a new auger with stripped screws. Still running good!

Well that is what I do with parts I remove, fix them if possible and add them to the spare bin, or break them down into their pieces and toss what is no good..

Funny thing is over the years I've collected a lot of oddball likely to never be needed things.

Yabbut - if you throw one out, you know you'll need it within 2 weeks. Murphy strikes again!

That is always the case, rephrased it amounts to I know I have a couple of those things and then not being able to find them, followed by buying some more and then after the job is done tripping over them.

Been there, done that, many times.

The clue would be the honeywell vac switch. I have only seen them on an EF2 /EF3

You are correcto mundo Jay! It is an EF-2i purchased on sale brand new for $1200 ! ! !

My friend has a Ton of Nations Choice and now her HR West Point Stove is not running! Sounds like it may be another auger jam!

She went to IFP International Forestry Products at 1 Patriot's Place to complain and they said it was Home Depot's problem for selling them to her!

Not a problem just install a 5,000 in pound auger motor, beef up the auger, and grind them into submission.
