Five... and a big split just toppled off the big pile in the back of the stove. Guess I'm too impaired for proper stove stuffing?

fireworks have been booming for the past couple hours. still, totally mellow compared to Amritsar at Diwalli.

Happy New Year gang.

Sounds like somebody just set off the ammo dump at Quantico south of here.

Speaking of debauchery, had fun with this thread! Thanks BBar ::-)

I stay home New Year's Eve.
It's amateur nite most places most of the time.

Lady that owned the bar we used to frequent in Texas always closed for New Years Eve. Said it was amateur night and her and the waitresses didn't need to put up with it.

Gotta respect a place like that

When my hubby and I first started dating, we went out for a boat cruise to see the fireworks in Philly. We had a good time and made plans to stay overnight so we didn't have to be out with the drunks to get home. There were a lot of college kids (not that I was much older) sitting near us that were doing shots of tequila. They tortured my hubby to take a shot with them and he finally did just so they shut up. We got up to leave an hour or so later only to find out that one of them threw up all over my coat that was on the back of my chair. I was so grossed out and angry we never did anything like that again for new years. Amateur night sums it up for sure!
