We managed 2.5 cords cut, split, loaded today. Tough day, logs frozen together, no traction, took an hour just to skid down 5 logs. Actually found a nice black locust that split like a dream, among more ash, red oak, and hard maple.

I love splitting ash that is about that size. You can make a lot of splits in a little bit of time.

Very cool ! How come all your equipment looks new :mad: have you been cheating ;?

Jus kidding !

I left the 372 at home so buddy can use his new 455. Splitter is new. I've only run about 20 cords through it, mostly helping others. ;) many splits from those rounds!

Nice work! That's gonna make for a cozy winter in a couple of years. Some nice toys as well. Some day, when I'm a big boy, I'll have hydraulics too:cool:

Sweet
You know you are showing the tendencies of becoming a "wood snob".
Selecting the primo wood types & only bucking up the nice logs ;)

Gonna be tough in a few years when you have to go back to what most of us have to do;
"Take what we can get" LOL
Lots of jealousy coming at you from Alaska. LOL :)

Nice score, (scores).
Must feel like a "Kid in a candy store :)

It's a good feeling. That's what I told the wife.... we can just get oak from now on. I really enjoy working the saw, running the splitter, helping family and friend's get ahead. My friend and I have split so much wood we can actually eyeball the sweet spot in a round and run the wedge in about an inch to split the whole thing. Cuts waaayyy back on cycle time. Here's my friend's house, 3 years ahead....

Ooops, here it is... still needs stacking in the middle

That looks like a lot of fun WellSeasoned nice large rounds. Those size logs are hard to come buy in my area we are farmed out pretty good.
