DOLLARBILL

Feeling the Heat
Ok so while with the Warden @ KMart (Iknow,Iknow ) I saw these two bags of pellets for 1.50 each because they had a hole in them ! Of course i called a girl over and asked if that really was the price or if it was 1.50 off the 5.27 per bag she said no damaged goods and they are yours for 1.50 each you know I had to take them ! Now the 50 thoudand dollar question are they any good ??? photo.JPG

I give that 3 oinks. I'd be going back and poking holes in more bags.....on accident of course.

Which Kmart?

Presto's have had good reports so far this year. Did they have a per ton price for them?

Interesting, I was under the impression they were not available in Maine. Interested to hear how you like them. Did they have any more at regular price of course? Wonder if other Kmart's around have them.

I burned 3 of the 4 bags I picked up in the damaged goods section at Lowes a while back. I'd buy them again if I saw them.

My Prestos are very good. IMO...

Please give us your review, but most have liked them. I prefer them over my Lig Green Labels. More ash, but more heat. Heat I care about. Ash. . . . Not so much. My stoves (all) handle ash exceptionally well. So heat is #1, price is #2, and ash is like #5 (forget the 2 other things more important, but ash ain't one of those two!) :)

Just saw prestos for the first time this year at the Lancaster PA lowes. I remember last year they were at all the lowes in my area but just arrived at one store this week.

I went through 2.5 tons of em last year (plus the other 0.5 ton this year) and I gotta say, in comparison to the Somersets I am burning this year, they didn't even seem to come close in my estimation. These Somersets have made a believer out of me. A lot of ash and not nearly as much heat. Then again, for 1.50 a bag...

Went to my local Walmart today and looked for broken bags. They had about ten of the Maine Wood Pellets, blended. I got an associated and asked about a discount, he got on the horn to someone and asked about it. The answer was a ten percent discount. This would have been off $4.15 a bag. I passed, not enough for me as some of them were half full and I would have spent some time taping the bags up. If they had done $2.00 a bag or less I would have jumped on it but 10% was not worth the effort for me. By the way they had all kinds of these left for $200 a ton, I would think they will be going on sale soon enough.
