Hi, new to site. I have a nuaire insert in my basement fireplace. It was installed when the home was built about 12 years ago. It isn't one that can be removed though, it is built into the fireplace. They have a website but not a lot of info. Was wondering if anyone here has any knowledge about these wood burners? Thanks.

Hey Mizz....Welcome...First, why would you want to remove it...Second, was it built INTO the house that you can't remove it? Pics are always wanted, so when you have a chance....

You talking about these?

That's the company.

I don't want to remove it, just wasn't sure whether to call it an insert, stove. or fireplace. I thought I might have to since I had a flue fire last week and the company that came and inspected said the entire chimney and both clay liners need to be demolished to the foundation level and rebuilt. His bid was over $28000.

I'll try some pics(keep your fingers crossed)
