I saw this yesterday and laughed to myself. We have some real winners around here.

;lol That's STILL better than most of the ads I see around here....People having big brush piles with maybe a 1/2 dozen decent logs mixed in,or wanting a stack of rotten rounds removed from backyard that previous homeowner or tenant left behind years ago...

original add has been removed?

That is not bad if there is a full cord of wood there.
I don't think I would pay $100 to cut some wood up and haul home myself out of some guys yard, including pine!

In the ad I read a full cord of Ash and Cherry. And he said he would help with everything, provide the gas and oil, and delivery. I would take it for a $100. Am I missing something?

It's seriously only a town over from Raybonz so it would probably be worth it for him. An hour for me. Doubt he'd do that delivery for me. That's the better offer I've seen on CL for up here. The free one's I've replied to have all been taken already.

A face cord of green wood will cost you about 60 bucks here. That is cut, split, and delivered. Three of those to make a real cord means spending 180 bucks. I would take him up on his offer for that wood, even if I had to split it when I got it home. Save 80 bucks and the fuel. And not have to go out into the woods and fell it, block it, and haul it out.

I agree. I just sent raybonz the link. Wish it were closer. A cord of wood up here is 250-400 cut, split, and dumped. Kiln dried prices seem to be improving with more competition though, albeit still pricey.

I did see free fuel, but I can cut a full trk load with 1 tank of saw gas? I did read he would deliver but sawthat he would help load your truck, so I am not sure if he will deliver it or not? It sure reads that way though. But I wont pay $100 for wood that I can get a permit for $10 and cut all I want.

Hard to tell how much wood is there from the pics. Plympton is close to me.. If it is at least a cord then that's a pretty good deal however I pay $185.00 and get a cord cut, split and delivered. Thanks for the heads up the most I would pay would be $50.00 considering I would have to load/unload the truck 2-3 times..

185/cord for a legit cord is very reasonable for up here.

Yes that's the deal I've had for several years and all full cords.. There is a guy in Middleboro that's doing full cords of oak for $160.00 a cord c\s\d right now.. Where did you say you're located jdp?

I'm in Lincoln...slightly northwest of Boston. About an hour from you.

taken down, im guessing that it was a bunch of painted lumber?

Yeah, but it's probably lead based paint so that's an added bonus.
