Nice stray puppy, take care of that guy and provide it a great home!

Isnt the 550xp the replacement to that, same cc . Same saw new numbers

Awesome saw. I love mine, but may sell it and go to the 550xp. I really like these autotune models, and my tuning abilities are lacking. Are you sending this out to Mastermind? The last one he did (jonny 2153) was STRONG.

I strongly considered the autotune, but decided to go with the 346. My budget consisted mainly of proceeds from the sale of my stihl 260, which didn't reach nearly the level of a new 550.

I plan to run it stock for a bit to see what I've been missing ;lol ......... then a muffler mod....... and likely down the road a ways it will take a ride to Randy's shop (also a consideration in choosing the 346 over the 550).

Those grey clutch covers never did look right on that saw.

Not sure why husky did that unless they wanted a two tone look like stihl?

Yeah well they one-up'd Stihl in the looks department with the 550XP and 562XP for sure.

Nice new toy, have fun with it,got a 550 myself the other day and love it, maybe pickup a 346 myself before they are all gone.

Well, its the best way to tell the far better new edition from the not so great early model 346xp.

They had a clear plastic 346xp on display at the Husky dealer here several yeas ago that I wanted, but they would not sell it to me. They said it belonged to Husqvarna and they could not sell it. If it did not have an inboard clutch, I would still have my 346xp second edition saw. But I digress...

No on arboristsite...... it is technically used, if you call less than a tank of fuel used.

I haven't had a chance to run it yet. Yesterday was front and rear end bearings in my son's 4 wheeler.

I ordered a 288 deflector, so it will likely get muffler modded before I run it much.
