yup its pretty cool though I'd just get fat & lazy if I had one.....

Wouldnt mind having a decent regular skidsteer w/ rubber tracks & grapple bucket however... I'd still keep in shape felling,bucking,splitting & stacking.Just would save the back a few more years from the abuse from carrying everything.

Think I would take the bobcat AND the log processor attached to it. Then, when I finished my firewood chores for the year about 2 weeks early, I would just get back on the bike and put in more miles, hit the weights, etc. Way better ways for me to stay in shape than cutting, splitting, and stacking firewood. I might have to take a look at that thing to see if I could fashion one for a John Deere 3720. Hoping to have the welder this summer and the tractor next spring.

Man, hard to believe that there are no firewood processing implements for a tractor FEL. I'm going to have to see if I can come up with something once I get the tractor. Might have to hold off on my splitter build until after the tractor purchase.

If you had a horse, you would still be looking to recoup your horse expenses even after putting it to work on the treadmill. Me, I would build a treadmill with generators on it after the horse was done on the splitter. Might as well light the house up too and help with the AC during the summer. My horse would be the fittest horse in the world.

Hmm....my brother has 4 horses. Talked to me last night about wanting to build a log splitter that runs off his tractor hydraulics when he retires in 13 days....

You can get skid steer mounts for the loader but the tractor ain't got the hydraulic HP to run it. I'd think you'd be pushing it for lift capacity with a decent log on there too.

Yeah, already resigned myself to it being almost impossible to do with the tractor, and also realized that it will be rather impossible for me to get a steady supply of straight trees at 18" or under. Think I am just going to stick with my initial splitter build of something like the TimberWolf TW4-HD. Then we shall see where I go after that foray into welding and hydraulics.
