positive: I have learned the upper limit of my stove - 42k btu heating 2000 sq ft of space works great 99% of the time. The other 1%, it still keeps the house at 68-ish. May need a little oil help for the back bedrooms.

Love the Harman setup. Yes I am using some more pellets but I am heating all 3000sq/ft. Only fired up the propane stove to help dry the dog after her bath. Oh the water was heated by pellets too. Just went to 11below and its only 8 PM. A three dog night.

Any warmer and I'll be wearing shorts. Oh yea, it's 9 out with wind chill near 0.

I have not used LP at all (for heat) for over 5 yrs.... November 2009 was my last LP fill (85%) and I still have 39%-40%...

Only use LP for cooking now.

Went from $3,600 a yr average, to $400 last year (2 ton of pellets).. This year is cooler and I may burn 3 ton, but I am saving over $3,000 a year and the Wife and kids love a warm house.

Currently 74* throughout and I have shorts on (no shirt/no socks)... I love wood heat! ;) (wood and pellet)

You would think based on the endless lists of thread titles ("Stove quit...", "Squeaking noise...", "Auger motor won't turn...", etc.) why anyone would by a pellet appliance.

So post something positive!!!

I am toasty warm, and will save about $1600 this year :)

Here is another positive post.

I fixed 2 stoves today to keep people warm and toasty now that it is 5 degrees outside tonight!

After living all these years with a heat pump, I am warm! With all the problems I had, I hope I do not jinx myself now!

Saves about $3000 a year over oil at my house
It's nice to sit around. As the g/f calls it... it's romantic :X
We find our selves staying in more around the fire playing cards, games, or watching movies than going out, thus saving more money.
It's some labor, but it's a labor of love. It's a chore to keep up with, but its a fun chore. most the time.
In the summer i miss it.
coming home to a dark house instead of a flame-lit living room that i can find my way around in instead of trying to find switches in the dark.

I got lucky this morning. ;)
Me too, well not "lucky" per se as I have been going out with the same lady for 6 months. Oh and the positive thing is that I have bought NO Oil this season and I have well over a pallet 1/2 left.

Positives from today
