How's the Fahrenheit been doing?

What level are you running? Are you using a Stat?

Is the burn still good? Good grey/white ash?

You gotta a smokin deal and a killer looking set-up.

Its running good. As of 6:30 PM or so tonight it'll have been running for a week straight. Its been a hungry little critter the past few days. Bag in the morning, bag at night. I've been running level 3 since Sunday night. No thermostat hookup yet. I have the wire, just haven't done it because its been keeping the house pretty even without it. Its been below zero the past couple nights. I fired up the wood eater the past couple nights just to save on pellets. House was 70 when we woke up this morning. Love it.

The inside of the firebox is almost all white. Its burning great. I pulled the ash pan last night and its only about 1/4 to 1/3rd full. I'm going to shut it down, empty the ash pan and give it a quick vacuum sometime before Saturday afternoon. Going to be heading out of town Saturday afternoon to work at zero-dark-thirty Sunday morning. Just want to make sure everything is good to go before I take off for a day and leave the wife to feed it a couple times a day.

Glad its working nicely for ya. We seem to have 3 members that have the 50F and no complaints what so ever! I'm liken them odds!

You've got to stop reading about other's toys, it only gets you in trouble with she who must never be made mad (Remember she has the cast iron skillets and lead weighted rolling pins.)

Folks what we have here is one pellet pig trying to save another pellet pig's bacon from being rendered by the boss lady.

Thanks for the wake up, I'm good now! ::-)

But if she leaves that purse unattended, All bets are off! :p

I have 1 compalint..

When it auto cleans, if the house is already at temp, it overheats the house for about 2 hrs.

It takes about 40 minutes for the entire process. But it CRANKS on level 5 for that duration.

So my 73° home, shoots to 76°-78° in that 40 minutes and slowly drops over the next couple hours. When its around 20°-25° outside, the furnace stays on level 1 (feed and air trims at 5 of 5). The last few days, its been coming off of Low and Hitting High (I have it set to level 3 when calling for heat). Actually, been about 30 min On level 3 and 30 to Low.

Oh and a Bigger distribution blower (o.k. thats 2 complaints. But i dont NEED it) would be nice. I only have mine ducted to one Main trunk, or 50% of my ducts. It works awesome like this, but if it had a 1,000-1,500 CFM blower, I could turn the other trunk on (open damper).

Oh well... Its 71° and climbing here. I turn all heat off while we are gone. I tried it last year, when it was warmer, and it worked. Now it just takes a couple hrs to reach stat temp. No biggie. I just run the wood eater at Full tilt

Depends on the fuel setting. There are 10 settings (Premium Pellet being #10/The longest time between cleaning). It is around 9-11 hrs, best I can see. I manually do a "Pot Change" (self clean is called a Pot change) about an hour before the kids bedtime. That way there doors can be wide open and let the heat out.

Sounds like you have the curve all figured out. Thanks for sharing the info bro!

Jay, I can read you like a book....I see you asking all these questions of the guys with the furnaces....you're building up that notebook, and one of these days....WHAM....there's going to be a new furnace in your basement.

Only thing holding you back is she who controls the checkbook (and the frying pans).

My wife sent me an email at work about 4:30 saying it was 71 in the house, she was sweating and wanted to know if it was OK to turn the furnace down to 2. I loaded it with Pro Pellets this morning. Maybe those were burning hotter than the 'sets. It was a bit warmer today (14) but not that warm. It's a balmy 8 now and the house is at 70.

The self clean on mine isn't as hardcore as Dexters. He has the newer LCD control board. Mine is generation 1 with LED's. The top burn plate comes out on mine for 5 minutes and builds the new fire. It runs on level 5 for 5 minutes then the bulldozer pushes the junk out of the lower burn pot. The top plate retracts, the fire drops to the main burn pot and it runs on 5 for 10 minutes. 15 minutes start to finish. Seems to do it every 9-10 hours. It does jump a degree or so.

I love the furnace though. Wish I'd gotten one years ago. Only problem is that I want the pellet grill that Fahrenheit makes too. There may be another trip to the factory for me come springtime. That will be a bit harder to sell to the wife.

Yep... Love this damn thing :) I wouldn't mind one of those Grills either ;) If you get one, Im gonna take a road trip to see your set up in person and eat some Filet or Rib-eye  Mmmmmm

Its about 72°-74° in the living room/kitchen area (2 heat registers in the kitchen) but the bedrooms are all a solid 70° almost all night (except during auto cleaning). They jump to 72°-74° during cleaning, where the kitchen gets about 76°…

My Furnace LOVES Presto Logs. Nice flame size, even on 1.

My auto clean is about 45 min. 10-15 min on level 5, then 15 min with top burn plate, pusher cycles twice, then new fire drops amd runs on 5 for 10-15 more min.

For as even as it keeps the temps (with only 50% of the house registers getting heat) I really cant complain. Even.if it was just the bedrooms, I wouldn't B@t$h. Because those are normally the cold rooms when space heating with a Freestanding.
