Yes. No change in fire or temp. If I block the OAK opening with my hand the fire noticeably gets smaller though so I think I am okay on air flow

Try different pellets?

I've tried both stove chow and presto. The only other place I know of that sells pellets here is the tractor supply but everyone I know with a pellet stove said not to buy their pellets because they store them outside and they get wet

Have you called Englander? Best phone support in the biz.

Something is amiss,.. with somersets in my hopper,.. stove set to 1-4,... lower buttons set at 1-4-1,... you can see the Rutland Therm on the front says 450 degrees,.. and I cant hold my hand in front of it for more than 3 seconds without burning me. With other pellets my settings would be a bit higher. 0126131610.jpg

the stove chow should be fine.

you said your venting is all clean correct ?

I am running 1-9 bottom on 6-4-1. Too hot?

I just sat on my stove for five minutes to warm up. It's not even hot and it's been heat mode 3 on for about 5 hours now.

Mine hits the high heat limiter and shut down at around 550,... you could be approaching that.

Definitely something wrong.

On 5-9 I hit 900° on that stat and it hasn't shut down. Something to think about though.

I asked last night if you checked that the thermostat jumper wire was still installed on the control board correctly, but never got a response....did you check it?

Well the stove is three inches from the wall. I can try to squeeze in there. Give me a few
Well, IMO, that is way too close, simply because you can't hardly get behind it if you need to do any work on the interior.

Also, from your owners manual:
" From the rear and the sides of this stove only six inches (6”) of clearance is required to paneling, wallpaper or drywall."

Dam it! Now you have me worried!
try different thermometers and IR heat detector ,.. the dial therms arent always accurate,.. I have three that are all very close...where your therm is,.. I would think at 900 degrees it should be shutting down....if it were really 900 degrees.

Probably a bad therm. I have an IR at work I will borrow.

excellent,... and in my experience, where you have your therm is normally the hottest spot on the stove,... thats where I keep mine.

Definitely the hottest part on mine. I am anxious now to find out the temp. I am only on a 1 and reading 550° to 600° range always. Can't imagine if I cranked that baby!

There is nothing attached to "Wall Thermostat" at all. There are two wires going to the "thermal sensor" connector. Looks like the connector was built for three wires?
