Pellet Dealers for Putnam County NY

Does anyone know of wood pellet dealers that deliver to Putnam County, NY?

So far I have found the following:
Home and Hearth in Courtland Manor sells O'Mallys $279 and Cubex $329 per ton.
Tri-County Coal in Carmel sells Great American $229, New England $269, Energex $279 and Barefoot $289 per ton.
Agway in Danbury, CT sells Hamers $306 per ton.
Wood Pellets.com sells to this area Homestead $250, Cleanfire Hardwood $269, LG $284 and Cleanfire Pacific $294,

Does anyone know of other dealers?
Any feedback on the above listed pellets (likes and stay away from)?

If it were me, I'd take a ride to (or call) my local Lowes...see if they have either Greene Team, Somersets, or Timber Heat. They should be available for $209/ton, and as many tons as you like can be delivered for $65 flat delivery fee.

They have Green Team $260 ton, Green Supreme $209 ton, and Inferno $209 ton.
Picked up 3 bags of Green Team and Green Supreme to try out.
Any feedback on either?
What about the Inferno?

Based on my experience and that of others on this site, gts are good, green supremes are ok and infernos are to be avoided at all costs. I bought stow chows at the orange box store on route 6 about a month ago and they're pretty good.

Well, that's unfortunate about the higher cost for the Greene Team.....some Lowes are doing that. They're a good pellet, but I'm not sure their worth that much.

If the Home Despot has the Chow, check out the price. They supposedly price match, so if they have them, the Chow for $209 would be a good bet.

As mentioned above, run, don't walk, away from the Infernos. Greene Supreme are just re-bagged New England's, and have been sub-par in the past couple of years.

Just picked up a couple bags of Hamers and PowerHouse from Agway.
I have heard of and read about the Hamers, but what are people's thoughts on the PowerHouse Pellets which are selling for $240/ton?
Also, what do people think of McFeeters, never heard of them, selling at Agway for $200/ton????

The McFeeters are a bagain at $200 you should definitely try them.Good heat and not bad on ash. Member OMV found out they are rebagged Trebio's if you want to do a search here.

I also like the PowerHouse. pretty decent pellet for the money. A bit ashy, But the heat is good.

Hello. New to the group. Was looking for some info and found this site. I am in Southern Dutchess County. I get my pellets from the Home Depot in Southeast. They have Stove Chow. If you can pick them up then you can save the $65 ship. If not make sure they have the chow and get as much as you can. (Less the ton's I will need). Stove Chow seems to work as good as New England Wood Pellets and I can't get NE cheaper that $209 I spend on the Stove Chow. NE can be purchased from Home and Hearth in Peekskill. Good people that know their stuff.

Everyone seems to like the stove chow, keep hearing about it.
How is the heat compared to Barefoots?
How dirty are they also compared to Barefoots?

Can't tell how it is compared to Barefoots. Never used it. Stove chow is a dark wood pellet. They are small and that helps with my Harmon. The longer (not cut short enough) pieces get caught in the auger as they didn from New England. New England and stove chow to me burned the same. Stove never jambs up the auger. Makes a load grinding sound as the piece caught is smash apart. The ash is dark and clumpy. Best way to describe the ash is that it is heavy. So the dust doesn't fly around as much. I used another brand from Home depot last season, American something. I took a few bags home to try because HD was out of stove chow. It seemed to burn hotter but also burned faster. So I had to fill that Hog much more often. Also the dust was everywhere.
Suggestion is to purchase 4 bags of each and let the burn. See which works best for you.
