My local guy got a surprise load of these, so I was able to try a few bags. Threw one in last night, and they are freakin' hot. I don't know if they're $309/ton hot, but damn..........

Not an expert by any means . But I had a few bags to try and I agree very hot ! I'm burning mcfeeters this year and the difference between the 2 was night and day ! And at only 50 difference per ton I will be burning vermonts next year !

Not to mention the fact that they are incredibly clean burning. I pay 290/ton here, GLADLY.

$290? $309? Holy crap, I hope they loa themselves into the hopper for that price! :)

I've been burning Vermonts and McFeeters back and forth for a while and find the McFeeters a bit hotter. The Vermonts are definitely wicked clean, though -- the McFeeters are some dirty SOBs.

Both pellets can be had much cheaper in the offseason!

just ran out of my vermonts from last winter and now i'm burning cubex hardwood. imo the cubex are cleaner and as hot if not hotter. paid a ton of money for 1 ton of cubex. Couldn't afford to layout a big chunk of change in the spring/early summer this year for my normal 5 ton. good luck with your vermonts.

Didn't think that was true. IMO the Mcfeeters were better than the trebio

Well im a little disappointed being called out. The info came from a pretty well " in the know " source. Im just gonna keep what i hear to myself. Dont want to bump heads with anyone here. im just here for fun

A little birdie just confirmed your story. Good source that has been square with me for years! As far as I'm concerned Trebio-McFeeters are what you say.

I heard another brand, But she didn't know the name.

Sometimes the crowd is tough here. Feelings get bruised. I get it all the time, Not as sensitive when your skin gets thick.

I'd ask Mr Warm, But he don't talk to me much these days. I'll see what else I can dig up!

I got an email from "you know who" and he confirmed. Trebio's-McFeeters and Boundary Bay all the same chit in different bags.

OMV post what info you got on the bag for Trebio's(address) and can someone do the same for McFeeters(I don't have any bags kickin around). Should be able to add pieces to the puzzle. Icing on the cake as they say!

Sorry OMV. I looked at Trebios website last night and didn't see anything about Mcfeeters. Couldn't find a site for Mcfeeters.from what I understand the new Trebios are 100% softwood, is that correct?

Hard to link them, But with a trade mark search we usually figure it out. Thats how we linked Energex and Premier together. Others as well.

There's a dealer here that Carey's Trebio and said theft used to be a blend. Now he has the 100% soft. I tried the blend and it left my stove orange inside after two bags. Heat was good but filled my burn pot.

Can't be the same pellets re-bagged. Gotta be different plants at least. Trebios became my bang-for-buck pellet last year. I bought a few bags of McFeeters from the same guy at the same time, and they were not nearly as good. In fact, I wouldn't even buy them again.

McFeeters bag lists

http://www.gmcfeeters.com/

as their site. No sign on that site of the "Emerald McFeeters" pellet fuel. Phone # is 1-800 350 8046, if anyone can do anything with that.

McFeeters have been fun to burn, but this whole same product in a different bag with a different name seems ethically sketchy to me. I don't think I'll be buying from this company again if I can avoid it.

No heads bumping here....
This is exactly what this site is for...When we are trying to get info, we lay it out, pick it apart and seperate the good from the bad. Sharing information is a powerful tool so no need to "keep what you hear to yourself".....This is what the site is all about. There are universities in this country that charge 50K per year and give out less information than we get here.......Let er rip!:)
