My Enviro EF5 usually takes 2 times pressing the button for it to get up to temperature and stay on...well tonight i pressed it once and took the dogs for a walk...when i came back the house was filled with smoke and the smoke alarms where going off. The smoke was coming through the blower into the house. Is there anyway to stop that? Is that normal? The stove works pretty good other than that you just need to press the start button twice (15 min intervals).

Aside from your starting issue it sounds like the fire box is not air tight for one. Bad gaskets or vent seals. I now bow out and let those experienced with your stove follow.

Are you talking about the comb. blower, or the conv. blower?

How long have you had the stove and how many bags ago was the stove cleaned from stem (air intake) to stern (vent termination cap)?

Im not sure..it was coming through the blower that blows the heat ...so through the heat exchanger tubes. I cleaned the pipe before the year so..Beginning of November and have gone through a ton and half so about 75 bags. When the stove gets going it works fine..i think the glass gets dirtier faster than normal...about a day and half but i can deal with that. I clean it about every 2 days.

I dont think there is anything wrong with the starter..it just doesn’t heat up fast enough
