I am going through withdrawlas the weather is to warm by me to run the stove all day. and I like looking at the fire when I am home I have it off at night and the house stays at 70 no oil :) no pellets :( I cleaned the stove and waiting to use it

Ummm...14deg here with 20mph west wind....overnight forecast of -1deg with little break from the wind until tomorrow morning.

It's coming your way!

Yeah, we felt that way yesterday (Wed.). Today it's cold again and we get to be warm and toasty. ;) Your time's coming!

thanks

yea i really liked being able to crank my stove up to 3/5 and run hi/lo instead of auto/ off .

and it was really great when the oil burner repair man showed up because my boiler had died and found it 70* inside :)

Cooled down again quick here. Cleaned the stove earlier and just fired it back up
with a belly full of La Crete.

16 degrees, windy and a bunch of lake effect snow. On the way home I drove through a snow squall so heavy I couldn't see the car in front of me and a mile later the sun was shining. Gotta love lake effect snow.

Winter has returned to West Michigan after thunderstorms, rain and mid 50s a couple days ago.

Gonna be chilly this weekend, can't wait.

I want out, Gimme spring like soon. Was nice seeing the snow all bye-bye this morning(prolly just jinxed myself right there!).

Still have snow here, maybe some more will be floating on in after 11:30PM tonight and more on Sunday.

I did shut the stove down for about four hours and cleaned it while it was down. I also swept up the sand that the car deposited on the garage floor. Reloaded the stove room pellet supply. Made some lunch and watch some tube.

it was 60+ here this morning... now it's cold enough that I can fire my stove and not blast myself out of the house...

Snow on the ground yesterday, very heavy fog. I looked out this morning, and the entire area was green grass, no snow. I can't believe winter is done with us yet.

it's not.... or at least I hope not.... last year's very early spring COMPLETELY screwed up my fruit trees... it wasn't awesome in any way, shape or form..

um... its plenty cold and windy here.Stove is back up to temp and all is well.

Doggy.

Same here. The apple trees did poorly, and one of them didn't put out any apples at all! Very few pears, also.
Better luck this year!

I've got 5 apples and 2 pears... they didn't put on 1/3 of the fruit that they did the year before... I need to top pretty much all of them... they all need it desperately. I was going to do it last year, but they woke up in early march... in Maine!

29* outside here, but 74* inside and the wife is happy! That's all that matters! ;)

We've got a pear tree that's supposedly well over 100 years old, and it looks it. Even has an old porcelain insulator grown into it. It puts out the best pears, but last year I got all of two pears off it. The bugs got the few others that it put out.

I love mowing the lawn around the apple trees - I snag an apple and eat it while riding around in circles. Life can be sooooo good sometimes!

pear trees tend to get sick and die well before the 100 year mark....Pears, like cherries tend to die "early".. that being said, my 2 pears have always been there in my memory.. and I'm 38... one isn't doing all that great, but the winter pear is doing quite well
