I have made it a habit annually to always try pellets before buying large quantities. Just wanted to share my results.

I have been burning Green teams and Lignetics with very good results. I recently found a new supplier that handles 3 brands so i bought 3 bags of each. They were New England wood pellets, which are not worth purchasing, very dirty with poor mediocre heat output.

Black Hills(okanagans) softwood. I am impressed with how clean my stove is after burning, but no where near as hot as i thought they would be.

And tonight i will be trying Indepence softwood.

Last year i had great luck with Cheat River, just cant find any!!

I am heating with a US Stove 6041 w/OAK

The Black Hills didn't have more heat than the GT's or Liggies? I know the Liggies are pretty hot this season. Let us know how the Independence burn for you.

Thanks for sharing your info, nice to get feed back from the end user:)

Been saying this all winter, but there are some who think they're OK. Remember, Clean Fire hardwood and Greene Supreme are the same poor pellet.

I just picked up three bags of Green Supreme to try. Should I put them away for the cold spurts in the spring.

I just cleaned stove and loaded with the independence softwood. Good heat I guess. Taking a bit to get house up to temp. 72 on first floor, 20 outside. With the green teams it would be 75'ish

Put them to the test when it's cold see how they work for you and your set up . Then you'll know if they are nothing more than a shoulder pellet or not .

Which is most likely what they are

Thanks to Imacman I got 2 tons of Somerset at Lowe's for 209 Ton. I'm burning green teams for ton # 3

You sure? I thought NEWP=Green Supreme= Warm front? Wonder if the NY NEWP plant has different "off" brands. Sneaky :/
