With the relative lack of any 'real' snow this year in central PA, we were pleasantly surprised to wake up Sunday morning with a nice 4-5" coating of powder......and right off the bat (before church) the kids were begging to hit the big steep hill off of the front of our property on my neighbors farm......

Well, after church and dinner, we gladly accomodated them! Wore them out, too! Spent an almost two hours out there on the hill with them, and they loved it. That's an short amount of time that they will always remember and me and my wife will always cherish!!

After them having to walk that steep hill (its VERY steep and at least 150 to 175 yards down!), we used the snowmobile to take them back up to the top.......

That looks like so much fun! Send some of that snow my way. Glad everyone had a good time!

Awesome videos Scotty. Looks like Smiles all around :) Priceless

Good times on a sled (both kinds)

I sold my Sled 3 yrs ago. 96 Polaris XLT Triple 600... I have owned numerous ATV's, and dirtbikes, but Nothing compares to the fun that's had on a Sled :)

My Son misses it as much as i do...

I have a 97 Polaris XLT 600 triple, too! It had some work done to it and MAN does that thing giddy-up! The sled in the video is my old, beat up 1974 Chaparral SSX 340. I love the way those old ones sound. It ain't pretty but its a workhorse.......that Chap has hauled literally dozens of cords of firewood off of my neighbors farm.

I have very little money in both sleds (got the Chap for free from a buddy, it had sat out for years behind his garages and needed some.engine work), paid $200.00 for he Polaris (it needed a CDI box and a water leak repaired). I'll keep both of them til they ain't any good to run......

Looks like a lot of family fun. I wish all the snow you want be diverted from comming here to go your way!

Those 600 Triples were NO Joke!! Didn't have snow for 2 yrs and sold it. This year, I regret it Big Time. It was near mint. I traded a Nissan 300Z (89 Single Turbo) for it, the car was beat up, but the guy wanted it and he had another Ski Doo that he bought. So the Polaris just sat in his garage.

100 MPH is Super Crazy, but also Super Fun

My buddy has an old John Deere 440 that sounds mean (old machines) :)

Wow. The memories this brings.....
We had to drive to a park that had a hill like that when I was a kid with a small stream at the bottom of the hill a ways out.
If you had a good run, you'd get close to taking a nice icy dip.!!!

Whooohooo! I loved to do that as a kid.

I had the old Chap 440. A real thumper in its day. Had the Polaris Centurion 500 triple too. Nothing like pulling the skis for 50 yards.

Scotty,

It actually does get better, wait till you have your kids and the grand kids out on the hill along with your Mom and dad and inlaws.
Thats what we do every year,it is fun to watch the great grandparents go down the hill..................
My FIL passed this year of cancer, on the day we have had our sledding date in the past
we are going to make it an annual event in rememberance of Dad

Great memories Scotty. Looks like a perfect hill for it too.

It won't be long and my boys will be too old for that sort of thing, but they are not there quite yet. ;)
Here is the spot we like to do our hill sliding. No sled to run them back up the hill though.

Believe it or not, the two videos were taken in the same spot about a year apart. The power company cleared all the trees you see in the first video, because the area is under the power lines.
