My local Lowes had a pallet of these on the floor for 4.38 a bag.I have never heard of them before.Has anyone ever tried them?

Do a search. These were discussed on here recently.

Since you have 3 tons of Cubex on hand already, I'd give these a try for shoulder season burning......your Harman should burn them no problem.

As always, though, burning 3-4 bags first is always a good idea.

I am struggling with large clinkers from these in my Whitfield advantage II. Opened up the exhaust damper some more, hoping faster fire will reduce the clumps. The older Advantage II is temperamental. Otherwise low ash and lots of dust as previously mentioned.

Tried a few bags from Lowes a month back. Burned just fine other than the not so pretty green color of the flame.

i tried 2 bags and they burned real hot(270 deg on med) and ash was acceptable.
went back and got 20 more(10 for me and 10 for a bud)
they burned horrible.temp of 220 deg on same setting and major ash.pellets themselves smelled like plywood and warm air from stove had a musty smell
will not buy again

I burned a few bags.. lot of ash but much better than the MWP crap being sold in the white bag. Although I did pull a small piece of red plastic from one of the pellets.. kept my eye out while dumping the rest in. I would buy again in a jam.

maybe it wasn't just my mind . early fall i bought some and was wowed . then bought some more a month or so later and was meh . the ones i'd bought in oct blazed wonderfully . oh well .

woody.i tried them based on your results and was pleasantly surprised with the 1st 2 bags.the next 10 were absolutely garbage
