It's 20 degrees in central CT right now. I had my stove on level 3 (out of 5). The living room got up to 76, and I had to turn it down to level 2. I love my pellet stove!

How's the wind over there? Its howling pretty good over here. My stove has cycled to high a bit more than usual. But is toasty warm in the shack.

wind is now cranking here, and with the wind chill were at 3 degrees tonight. Like you all said the damn groundhog lied, that is for sure.

7 degrees here. pretty good wind rocking the house too.

NOAA site says winds of 28 w/ gusts to 46 at the local airfield.

I screwed up and left the plow touchpad controller on yesterday and went out to plow and click click click goes the battery. Brother yanked it for me and it's on the charger. 13 years I've had this setup and this is the first time I made this mistake. Hopefully the last.

A quick re-wire to a key dependent circuit is recommended to prevent this from happening. Besides, you won't run the plow unless the truck is running, correct?

I woke up pretty cold this morning. I thought the stove ran out to be honest. As i stuck my head around the door, i see that its blazing like it should be and it was 61 in the house. burrr. cranked on the electric fireplace for 15 min and took the chill out of the bedroom and jumped in the shower.

It is cold over on the shoreline

Don't want to go out.

....I thought the stove ran out to be honest.......i see that its blazing like it should be and it was 61 in the house.......

No offense, but that doesn't sound like it was "blazing" to me. My stove was also burning (set at 5-6) at around 6:30 this morning, and the house was a nice 68.

11.3 here last night 70 in the house..stove set room temp..windy as heck also

He is hot blooded unlike those of us who are old :p.
I guess. Normally I'm the one on this forum that can't believe the temps some of you keep your houses, but I'm feeling "old" if Briansol likes that temp and feels warm. ;lol

my norms are 66-68 day, 63 night. so 61 is just a few below what i want it to be.
I left it on 3 last night. cold nights, i generally need to bump it up to 4 to keep up. But running on 4 for a long time ends up with lazy flame and soot after about 12 hours. There's no enough air for it to maintain running on level 4.

I got hosed on my install by the dealer. I was too ignorant at the time. If i had known now what i didn't know then, I wouldnt have bought what i did, put it where i did, or buy it from the dealer i did. I don't have an outside air kit either, so i suck in cold air all the time. see all my other threads for rants on that topic. lol

On this February 2nd, 2013,
the One Hundred and Twenty Seventh Annual Trek of the
Punxsutawney Groundhog Club at Gobbler’s Knob….
Punxsutawney Phil, the King of the Groundhogs,
Seer of Seers, Prognosticator of Prognosticators,
Weather Prophet without Peer,
was awakened from his borrow at 7:28 am
with a tap of the President’s cane.
Phil and President Deeley conversed in Groundhogese
and Phil directed him to the chosen Prognostication scroll.
The President tapped the chosen scroll and
directed Phil’s Prediction be proclaimed:
My new Knob entrance is a sight to behold
Like my faithful followers, strong and bold
And so ye faithful,
there is no shadow to see
An early Spring for you and me.

YOU'RE FIRED Phil!
