get us a close-up pic of the end grain of the wood in question.......we'll help you ID it.

Either way, not a bad score at all for 30 bucks. I've wasted 30 bucks on a dozen and a half hot wings and a couple Captain/root beers at the tavern up on the mountain on a Friday night many times and it didn't keep me nearly as warm as that trailerload of wood is gonna keep you!!

I guess that depends on how HOT the wings are Scotty - I love me some heat but have had wings that would let me keep the stove off for a night on a few occasions.

Bob, I used to LOVE the really hot ones.....but my stomach can't handle 'em anymore. I settle for the Mild Ranch-garlic-parmesan wings now (and lemme tell ya, they are AWESOME!).......;)

Ya, my stomach says No No No ;sick

WELL ,boys looks like the mystery wood must be Osage ;? , I got it in Fenton,Mi,, the splits are actually darker orange than the cell phone pics. I had a little of this stuff before ,didn't know what it was

Good grab for $30. But I'd go with Mulberry on that. It just doesnt have the OO look, IMHO from the picture.

I stand corrected. Although I will x2 on mulberry - osage splits like elm, if not worse, and that looks like a pretty clean split and the bark does not look osage. Either way I think mulberry is better than cherry so it remains a great score.

It can throw a few little sparks but it burns pretty long. A lot of small dead or damaged ones in the woods here; I grab 'em any time I can.
