Hey guys,

Long time lurker, first time poster here....

I'll start off by saying that now my first year of burning pellets is coming to a close, I must thank everybody for all of the awesome, helpful information that both my Fiancee and I have acquired off of these boards. Our dealer has been nowhere as helpful as most of you guys on here (without you even knowing it!), so thank you!

Second, In your experiences, how many of you have utilized woodpellets.com for your pellet orders? I'm looking at pulling the trigger on a larger order (anywhere from 4.5-6 tons) of LG Granules, as we burned about 40 bags this year and found that they burn awesome (in our opinion) in our St. Croix Lancaster.

SO! How's their service and any idea as to whether or not their prices have a tendency to drop during the "off-season" ?

Welcome. Wish I could help you on woodpellets.com but I haul my own. LG's are a good choice and have burned well for me also. When you get a second, put your stove type in your signature and a location under your name. This will help with people near you sharing pellet purchase ideas in your area. Enjoy the show!

Welcome to the Forum, I have no experience with woodpellets.com, theyre selection of pellets for my area aren't that great. You should put your location in your info.

I can't speak about their price change times but as to their service.

I've purchased from them and they do a real good delivery job.

I bought 6 ton of LGs from them and had them bring their pallet jack. I have a garage under and there is a house length long deck above the garage door. Their fork lift had no trouble putting the 1.5 ton pallets on the garage floor and from there it was pallet jacked into place.

Welcome to the forum Mike! I've used them 3 times and like Smokey said
their delivery service was right on. They do have price drops and
deals that you'll probably see very soon so keep checking their site.

I 'shop' there but have never ordered from them. prices always seem a bit higher and they never have what i want to buy anyway.

that said, i would't say they are 'bad' in anyway. other regions may get better options and delivery fees.

Great service and delivery. Ordered 3 tons of CleanFire Pacific and they dropped them right in the chalk outline I made in my garage.

I bought from them about 3 years ago, and they were very professional and good to work with. I'd have no problem buying from them again, if their prices were lower.

At $260/ton for their lowest priced pellet available to me, I'll stick with the Greene Teams, Somersets, or Stove Chow I can get for $50 less a ton locally.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the input.

I'm looking at right around 273/ton on the LG's however the Cleanfire hardwood's that they sell run 263/ton (ZIP of 01082). I haven't experienced the Cleanfire hardwoods and I'm slightly skeptical. Does anybody know if they're a re-bag of something else or woodpellets.com exclusive?

Now I can get big box 250/ton usually re-bagged NEWP's, MWP's if I'm lucky, or Inferno's (NEVER again! lol) . Off-season or fall-ish they're right around 200/ton.

I'm mainly looking at them because they deliver, as I don't have a pickup just a Jeep Patriot. I'm also not opposed to moving a ton 25 bags at a time from my local wal*mart 25 bags at a time if i can find them cheap enough. I'm not in need of pellets now, as that's the reason why I've begun to keep an eye out for deals and steals.

The CleanFire hardwoods were the pellets I bought. At the time, they were just re-bagged NEWP from NY....ended-up being a poor pellet, at best. I burn them in the shoulders, but even then, I have to turn the feed trim up 2 notches to get any heat. If they are still made by NEWP, I'd stay away from them.

Yeah, my instincts are usually correct when it comes to my skepticism... the re-bagged NEWP's in burning now are not-so great themselves, even a few black pellets in there. (what is that, anyway? plastic?!) Pennington - Natures Heat. Not nearly as bad as the inferno's I had burned earlier, but still crap.

....even a few black pellets in there. (what is that, anyway? plastic?!)....
Usually just some pellets that got stuck in the extruder head too long and got overheated.....nothing wrong, and they'll burn too.

I have read on there website that they offer early bird pricing:)

Ohhhh.... Thank you! I've been watching their site, but haven't checked it today. Thanks again!

I've bought from them for the past couple of years and have been very pleased. I've tried both the hardwood and LG.
The hardwood are OK but I'll buy LG in the future. I bought in the summer and the price actually went down during the season.
May sound strange but I like the quality bags since I can slide my pellet bags down a shoot into the basement without them bursting.
