iceguy that's one hell of a setup u have there, but it doesn't look easy to fill, but if it works more mcguyver power to you, guess that's were I would tell the boys load it or no dinner and whatch how fast it gets filled just an idea good luck

I chose this location for my pellet boiler for several reasons,,,short vent, close to bilco doors so as not to have to carry bags too far. this is gonna play into my bulk storage ideas too.. Only drawback, bulk hopper blocke bilco doors Problem solved...unit is movable with just the removal of 1 hose clamp. next problem 80" clearince above unit....not necessary, I hold hopper door open with a wire... only clearance necessary is to top of motor

the only problem I'm not confortable with...it short cycles. sometimes it will only run a split second. It came with a tiny screwdriver to adjust the potentiometer....I'm not confortable adjusting it till I hear from my dealer

overall I'm a happy guy and am doing the math...the way I figure it I wont need to see my boiler till sometime....say 2015....2+2= a bazillion;em

that thing with the holes in it has a ledge that holds the bag...bag will sit there un-attended...slice the top of bag, grab the black handles, pinch the bag with your thumbs and lift (easy) since its hinged to the hopper top , the contents dump into the hopper....bottom is belly button height....works the "nuts"

also...the clear plastic tube needs that angle or it clogs...I had to shorten it 2" the first time...also augar IS rather slow...my guess-ta-mit...like 1 min to fill a gallon paint can...but who cares...I hope this thread helps....would I do it again...you-bet-cha

ok ice without me going google crazy whats the cost on your Frankenstein project ( hamsters running around in my head spinning wheels)

Nice job

Outstanding IceGuy. I was going to get one of the hoppers when I got my PB105 but held off. this is my first full year burning pellets and it really killed me to have to turn on the oil boiler when I was away for 10 days. I figure the 5 to 6 tons of pellets I am burning would normally cost me about a third of what I was paying for oil and propane. Loading bags does get old, though. My boiler is in a remote barn/workshop so I've got the room. Keep us posted on performance: I heard keeping it air tight is critical. Also, if you don't mind, please let me know how much you paid. My local dealer wanted $1,850. last year to order one, plus a "special order" delivery fee.

more then likely you will have to chub up a lil more now...plus I paid $75 to get it shipped to capital district. I gotta say...man its nice to not have to feed my boiler. went down this morning to check and slide the rods . last night straight to bed without having to go downstairs. I have run my boiler out of pellets 3 times....never again!!!

wow I don't know how i lived without a big hopper. this thing is the nuts. Not having a big hopper would be like having a 2 gallon gas tank on your car!!! A slight adjustment on the potentiometer and short cycling has stopped. I'm very very happy==c
