Hello

I was giving the task of cleaning a Harman Invincible again but this time after someone performed the 1st cleaning, it burned no better. The glass and the burn pot sooted up real quick. The venting and under the burn pot was fairly clean. I re-did them of course.

I still found alot of ash high up in the side chambers and replaced the white 1/2" door gasket (failed dollar bill test) with a nice graphite impregnated 1/2" door gasket.

So my question is, what is the best way to clean those barely accessible exhaust chambers.

the exhaust goes up and over inside the lower clean out. Again, 150 PSI of compressor, long brushes are hard to bend up in there

Where the vertical plenum chambers meet the top horizontal plenum seems to be where most of the blockage and constriction occurs. I could get my brush to poke into the top plenum. However looks like you are correct Scott, the only way to cleanout the top plenum is to blow it out with 150 PSI pneumatics.

In the 17 years of cleaning mine, I've found the cleaning brush that came with the stove to be the best way. It is a b*tch to get it just right going up those heat exchanger tubes but when you do, you know it.

Yes, I could feel the brush Punch thru to the top plenum.

Also I am looking for some red paint to match.
My local Harman deal says Stove Bright Mojave Red. That is a very rich red color and not sure how the match up would be?

Any suggestions?

Red does fade, so you may have a challenge matching it, IMO.

just sell it to me and you wont have to worry about cleaning it..........

actually I have an assortment of tubing brushes from Grainger and can effectively reach all the chambers, they have every diameter / lenght you could ever need

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Stove Bright Mojave red is the color. Mine is the Stove Bright Green. You may have to paint the entire stove though.....

Leaf blower trick Don..... You need to invest into a good small pancake compressor and a good Leaf blower.

Those are my 2 favorite tools.... Bar none :)
