There has got to be a lot of F1 fans here.....after all, what else goes better than watching Formula One in front of a roaring fire? Well ok, there is another activity that goes well in front of a roaring fire, but I won't go there.

Oh, oh . . . I know the answer to this question . . . pick me, pick me.

The answer is . . . football. Watching a football game in the late Fall in front of a roaring fire makes for a great late afternoon or early evening activity.

Not many fires left when F1 season starts. I have been to one race. In Dallas in July and the track they built for it was disintegrating in the middle of the race due to the sun and hundred degree heat. !!!

F1 @ Indy *used* to be a good way to spend a day. Moto GP is more fun to watch....especially in person. Those riders are a different breed of people.

Dallas...man that must have been a nightmare!

I've been super fortunate to have made some of the Detroit, Indy and Austin last year. If you can, get down to Austin, it's a great track.

Never been to a Moto GP, but the Indy GP was a lot of fun.

I am... though loosing interest lately. My Dad was into it so I started watching as a kid in the 80s (and Indycar before it went to crap) . I still remember seeing the Senna crash live :( Long time fan of Schumacher, I started watching him when he drove for Benetton and became a Ferrari team fan when we joined.

Dad and I went to Indy 3 times starting the first year.

Over the last few years Ive kinda lost interest and got busy with too many other things to get up and watch races at 6am on Sunday... I miss the days when you would see passing other than during pit stops (though maybe that's improving with all the rule changes recently??)

Schumi...what a driver! He just re-retired last year. Raced for the Mercedes team and took a third place finish last year at one GP and was fastest in qualifying at Monaco. I too dropped out of watching F1 during the later Indy GP's because of the domination by 2 teams and no passing.

But the last four (?) years with the DRS system has greatly improved passing. Also the tires are made now to promote more tire changes. Might want to give it a try again. Last weeks GP in Malaysia was a good one!
