And the best part? Free to me!

I bought a few saws last week from one guy. Sold all but this one for more than I paid. So in the end for a twenty minute drive and answering a few emails. I got a free 394xp. A little dirty but everything works and it has got good compression.

What do you think of it vs. the MS660?

Looks like it's wearing a 20" bar? That's hardly a workout for that beast....

22" bar.

Haven't had it in wood yet. But the 385xp I had was noticeably weaker then the 660 when the bar was buried. Their is not a huge noticeable difference weight wise.

I've had a little bit of interest in this saw. But I'm thinking I might give it a good cleaning and maybe some new top covers and put it on eBay.

Or I may keep it as beater to play around with an Alaskan mill.

Nice deal Mike................ keep um coming!

Awesome - can't beat a free saw - especially that saw!! Congrats and good luck!

Cheers!

A free 394xp.... Yep, we'll worth it ;)

I'd definitely keep it as a beater (don't listen to me. I can't get rid of a saw to save my life)

Congrats

It sure is easier to buy saws then to decide which ones to sell.

Looks like I might be selling this one though. I've got someone interested in a package of 3 of my saws for a good profit. I guess these chainsaws operate on the 'bigger idiot' economy.

Not to worry though I've got a line on a couple more saws. I'll turn this freebie into two freebies.

Mike, I don't want to see you having to go thru all the work of changing the covers and making your other Saws feel bad. So out of the goodness of my heart I will give you $25.00 just to relive the pressure on you LOL. If that sounds like a good deal just let me know and I might even pay for part of the shipping.
GREAT find!!

Id do 25, but with shipping and handling it's gonna run you about 450.

Maybe it should read, Everyone needs a 90cc saw or a SPLITTER!!

Nice saw Mike - I would certainly like a big'un like that

I was cutting them in half so I could get them on the splitter!

I had a little time to cut this afternoon. I have had my eye on 20" yellow birch. Figured I could get by with just one saw so I brought out my 361. It worked great for felling it. But I wish I had brought a big saw for bucking and a little saw for the limbs. Guess I'm just spoiled now.

Mike, were you using a stock chain? When I had a lot to split like that I found that if I sharpened the cutters to 15* that it did not dull the chain as fast. Just reshaped a old chain that was really about ready to get tossed just to see if it worked. If you have a lot to do you might want to try it. Not really sure if it has to be 15* or somewhere around there.

It's the chain that was on the saw when I got it. Husky brand. Full skip chisel chain. It worked very well after a quick sharpening. Seemed to clear the noodles very well. Couldn't slow it down if I tried.
