Lat night dumped in bag one of 3 that I have.

Good heat but I can see how a top fed stove might be bothered by clinkers from these. Ash is gritty as heck and full of small clinkers. No worries on 3 bags and curious to see what the burn pot is like after.

That's been my experience -- good heat, but the ash sucks. I bought a ton of these and a ton of Vermonts at the same time, and the Vermonts were only $5 more. If pricing is comparable next season, I'll stick with the Vermonts.

Guess that I am no longer a clinker virgin.... :p

Heat is great, but the ash is full of clinkers. Have to say that this is a first for me in the clinker dept, but the bottom feed system isn't bothered by it so far. Bear in mind, I have only 3 bags to burn through so I dont know the effect of a ton.

The amount of ash isn't all that bad. Its much less than MWP soft but is extremely gritty in comparison. Flame is very good, great color and very strong. If it wasn't for the clinkers and the ultra gritty ash, these might be a contender for cold weather pellet.

Chatting with he 2 pellet guru's. Seems McFeeters is kind of a pellet scrounger. They aren't always from the same place. I got that some are the same as Trebio's/Boundry Bay. And others might be there own or from another mill. Still digging.

Nice weather for some boating/biking today. We dang near hit 60! I feel a hint of spring, Yahoo!

Huh, pellet scrounger? Now that makes for consistency....NOT

Weather was decent here, but still a bit chilly. Not quite bike weather yet. If I have to bundle up from head to toe. its not time yet. Supposed to start climbing though :)

Some of the worst crap I have ever burned in my stove. Couldn't believe the amount of ash that was produced. If they were giving them away I wouldn't take them!!

Ya, below average this year. The ash was choking the flame like a pimp choking one of his girls that didn't pay up.

I guess Jay is right about the scrounging factor. The batch I had had a great flame, great heat and medium-low ash, although it full of clinkers.

I have burned over 11 tons of these this year ( have 3 stoves at 3 different locations same stoves same settings ) 2 different deliveries . Stove one first delivery burns great awesome heat very little ash gray and fluffy .
They other 2 stoves different delivery burn awful heat is ok but tons of ash lots of clinkers dark heavy ash

G(or someone), Post a pic of the info on the bag for me. I thought I had saved one and was going to do some diggin on them. Tossed the bag and misplaced all the info that I had on them.

Hmm, wonder if mine is the same batch but bottom feed is handling them differently as the heat was real good (although it is warmer right now) and the ash volume was not that bad (which is cut down by the heavy gritty clinker like ash) as I never got a real build up on the edge of the burn pot even on a low-maint burn.

Right now it's the fear of the payments thats got me gittery. I hope that doesn't last too long?

Buyers remorse ;lol. It will go away after the first WOT out of the no wake zone
I feel the same way after spending 800 bucks on 4 tires for my truck yesterday: Inspection month and old ones would not pass

The WOT run is at least 2 weeks away. Still waiting on some of the options to be delivered and installed. I'll most likely have the first payment in the mail, Before the ship sails! :(

Now that REALLY SUCKS

I could barely get the McFeeters to stay lit in my stove. I ended up scooping them out of the hopper and pouring Turmans in. I cleaned the stove right before trying them too. Must have gotten a bad bag.

Pics. No markings at all on the back of the bag. No lot #'s etc

Same situation -- these things do not want to light in my XXV. Had to turn the feed rate way down or mix with Barefoots. Never again, McFeeters!

In run the cb1200 with feed wide open on low no issues at all . Clean once a week about 1/4 ash pan . Glass does get dirty after 48 hrs but other than that I can't see any difference between these and vermonts .
Big score today ! Found 4 bags of Oaks ! I was like a kid at Christmas . Wife says I need help !
