yea, would depend on where they warehouse the DF pellets.......I think I saw some at the bagging facility in Upton, MA yesterday tho when I was there

Would that make these the same as the Okie DF?
well, I dont know for certain, and God knows, Im often wrong, but lets see.....Cleanfire DF sitting at the Upton bagging facitlity where, coincidentally, the Okie DF pellets are also bagged..........hm........>>

As far as I know(from another thread), Upton only bags for Okies. But the area around the plant is used as a landing for many. I will ask Mr. Warm and get his 2 on this!

My guess is they have the CF DF off loaded from rail cars there and stored in the lot to deliver to area dealers. Because its so close to the rail line, They use this rail stop for several pellet wholesalers and then they truck them to the different warehouses in the area. Okies leases the mill, But the ground around the mill is fair game from what I have heard in the past.

Not to sound like a bastard but I don't think Mr. Warm word is worth much in this matter. He would be the last person to admit that they are bagging the same pellet in two different bags....with one being 46 dollars less per ton.....

Coincidently selling for the first time as far as I have seen at the same time the Okies DF are available......

There is another thread where a member saw other brands in the lot. The lot is a staging area. Actually the CF DF were available last season as well. And I know for a fact they aren't the same brand of pellets in the CF DF bag as whats in the Okies DF bag. This comes from another source other than Doug!

I'll bet lots a cash that the CF DF is a Pinnacle pellet and that the Okies DF is a BM pellet!

I am not saying you are wrong......I just wouldn't trust Mr. Warm since he has an interest in keeping his business practices hush. You have a lot of info and I hope you are right. The more competition the better for us. It would be nice to now have access to four different Douglas Fir pellets!!

Woodpellet.com does their own testing. Did they list specs on the CF DF?

9100 BTU
.22% Ash
erm.....9100 BTU's per pound?! I would prefer to see a Twin Ports schedule myself, rather than numbers provided by the folks selling the product.....BTW, thats a sky-high btu/lb rating.....North Idaho's are about 8400 btu's per pound (also Doug fir)

I take all these numbers with a grain of salt......I almost bought a ton if the North Idaho's for next winter.....I will probably grab a dozen bags if them have them come winter.....

I know a friend who burned them, said they were good, but not at that price!

I wonder what the difference if any between the CF Pacific and the CF DF;?

Kind of a coincidence don't you think that the CF DF are screened and bagged in NE, just like the Oakie DF's

http://www.woodpellets.com/productdetail.aspx?zip=03054&brand=CDF0&qty=3

I'll take Mr Warms word on that.

.....NOBODY.....IS BAGGING DFIR OKIES IN ANOTHER BAG. Wp.com don't Have the same pellets as us. They store/ship from Upton, but's that the only thing we have in common.......

They have the Upton plant booked flat out with their own goods. I know they don't own the plant, But we haven't heard any of the WP.com folks complaining of fines when upton had it's issues after the upgrade!.

There is also the Palmer plant in Mass, Maybe they are using that to bag the WP.com stuff? WP.com is in cahoots with NEWP and are bagging NEWP in the CF hardwoods bags.

CF pacific is mostly pine but considered a SPF pellet. CF DF is mostly Douglas Fir and some red cedar.

Both are hot, But The DF will be about 2x cleaner.
The CF are rated at .037 ash content, so are the CF DF rated at less than .010 ash content?
