I mentioned to a buddy a while ago that I was looking for some firewood. He called me this evening to say a guy he knows just had 13 trees cut down in his front yard. Needless to say, I met him there an hour later. Everything was on the ground already, so my buddy and I spend an hour or so before dark cutting. I managed to get this load of cherry rounds and some small other stuff loaded up before it got dark.

I may take a few swings at it with the Fiskars tomorrow. The truck's a Ford Ranger.

Nice.
Goin' back?
Almost forgot....Welcome to the Hearth.

My buddy, who was my connection here, and his father and father in law all burn for heat. I told him I would be willing to help with the rest of the work if they need me. So, maybe I can get another load or 2.

Yes it says Ranger on the t-gate. That looks like some nice rounds of cherry but I think I see some elm there too maybe.

Nothin wrong with elm either just splits tough but fine burning wood Snigg. Was just lookin at your neck of the woods for an overnighter with the wife to Washington PA. Have you ever been to the Spring House Restaurant ? If so any good ?

Welcome Snigg - Nice haul, and go 'eers! I grew up in McKeesport but most of my family's up in Fairmont. Love it when Pitt loses the brawl.

Welcome to the funny farm Snigg You look as though you fit right in with this crowd of sick minds.:p

I attended WVU back in the early 70's and I have family scattered from Barbour County over to New Martainsville, WV. I too just love it when the Mountaineers send Pitt home with a sore tail!

Great score and save some of that cherry for the smoker.
