Nice article here on CNN, but just take a look at the year with the 10th warmest every!

I will be 149 years old in 2102. Not looking forward to such hot weather then. Might be able to trade the wood stove for an air conditioner before that.

Ya, I doubt I'll be around then too. It just amazes me sometimes what gets printed. Editing? Guess not. Kind of like the time a local newspaper was "informing" us on the state of the fall colors. "Most of the maples, oaks, pines, etc were about 70% peak color." Pines?

I'm sure the pines were 100% peaked==c. They are always reliable like that in the fall. They're even reliable like that in Feb. what a tree.

Hmm, yes, editing, indeed. ;lol

Hey, we all hose it up from time to time...even when there's no deadline and we only have a few dozen words to check.

Nothing could be as bad as the editor not looking at the sequencing of the "teasers" WTOP news radio in DC plays prior to newscasts.

Yesterday

"Coming up, comedian Jonathan Winters dies at age 87"

"And this could affect abortions in Virginia."

I wondered if anyone would pick up on that one! ;lol Yes, it is called editing; or lack thereof.
