I wonder if this guy is related to that other guy who had the splitter and wedge where you needed two guys . . . one guy to run the equipment in the cab and another guy to constantly hook and unhook the wedge.

It is a work in progress.

Nah...not slow. He's just seasoning the wood on the processor.

I was thinking loading the log, hand winch would be a lot faster

;lol

I don't get it, you have hydraulics on the machine already running the saw and the splitter. So why on earth would you settle for a winch to operate the log lift?

The chomper looks pretty fast to me once it is running. No sawdust either.

I always liked these euro models for a fast splitter design

Looks great if everything you harvest is loadable by hand and only needs to be split once! Anything over 12" would be a difficult process with that equipment.

I see lots of machines setup for those little pecker poles. I was guessing they don't have big trees in that area?

Europe. They cut down all their trees before there was an America.

I've only traveled a lot in Germany (used to work there), and a little in Italy (vacation). German's are (predictably) very organized, right down to what land is used for harvesting trees. They do have larger trees, but these are not permitted for harvesting. German's don't fart without a permit or regulation dictating how, where, and when to do it.

Very interesting design on that PTO machine. Definitely a purpose built machine for that size of feed stock. I would like to hear it bark when you fed it a hedge pole.!!!

True, it's not for huge stuff, but under 12- 14" its super fast. For the wood I got this year, it would fly through 95% of it.
