I've looked in the Articles library for information on inspecting/cleaning a wood stove chimney, but didn't see one. This site is so comprehensive, I'm sure it's here somewhere.

Would someone be willing to link me, or tell me where it's located?

Thanks!

Off hand, I don't have a link but the topic has certainly been discussed at length over the years.

What are your concerns?

Almost looks like trying to induce draft with a leaf blower.
If i got black plumes coming out of my chimney with a leaf blower like that i couldn't convince myself to keep burning wood.

The leaf blower trick. Lots of pellet stove guys do it.

Good observation. We should add an article covering this. There are lots of methods and some caveats with each. Here are a some helpful hints:

Those videos are really great, begreen; thanks a bunch for taking the time to locate and post them.

It will be nice to be able to stay off the 10/12 and clean from the inside!

Thanks again.

I just watched this again in preparation for thinking about getting ready to consider the contemplation of the act of actually cleaning my chimney.

Do double-wall chimneys come apart in the same way? I'm not sure I understand how I could slide one section down over another with a dw chimney. Does anyone happen to have a link to an article or video demonstrating how to clean a dw chimney from the inside?

As always, thanks in advance for any help you might provide.
