In The Woods
I'll start on pic 7220, which is a nic size Cherry limb, then head down to 7229 & 7230, after I get those two done I'll haul the Elm out so I can stack it. I'm thinking the Elm wil be ready for this shoulder season.

Should be some nice straight rounds there. No work here with this rain sunday. Stacked a face cord of hard maple today. Have fun tomorrow, be safe. :)

It looks like the rain will come in on Monday up here. I'll pick a few small bags of leeks too.

Good plan.
At least it's just rain. Could be the "S" word LOL :)

I was able to get the one Cherry cut (pic 7220) then roll it down the hill to the trail, I hauled two loads back to the splitter, work for this week I hope.

Going up the hill I found what looks like two woodchuck holes.

Nice pics, a good days work. Why didnt you have the woodchucks chuck the wood instead of you rolling it downhill? I think we got more rain yesterday than today, it was just misty all day. Tstorms all this week, hopefully you can get the splitting done b4 they make it up there. Be well

My tree cutting partner called me up Thursday evening and said "Hey, I need you on Sunday morning. Easy morning, 2 straight drops. No climbing...." I've heard that one MANY times before.....

Well, I coaxed my wife ever so gently into letting me go out and cut this morning.....At the job my buddy had lined up (we started at 6:15AM), WOW, did we end up with pile of red oak. I mean a PILE of it!! Two - 80' trees, grown over each other at the stump, leaning in opposite directions. Ended up getting them both to fall side by side, was a perfect drop. Also hit a job on the way home, the homeowner had a huge ash tree that had a big limb snap during a storm a few weeks back, was dangling over a bank parking lot. Had to climb a little for that one, but ended up with a little ash at that job. I got two heaping truckloads of wood today, my buddy ended up with a heaping trailer load....good day, and even made a few greenbacks for the hard work....

I'll post a thread of it later this evening.......

Looks like a nice load of stuff there, zap. Speaking of critters, I had two squirrels jump out of a tree and right into my lap around 30 feet off of the ground this afternoon......that was interesting!!

Wow bud that sounds great! Post the pics when can, would love to see it...

It looks like the work for this coming week will be hauling the "Long Bar Cherry" out. I'm hoping this rain will make the wild leeks grow just a tad bigger so I can pick some this weekend.
