I was wondering what would be a reasonable deal. this unit was just fires up at the store and never since. I am selling it and don't want to leave any money on the table. thanks in advance for your time

If it was fired up at the store then it is used. The value depends on a lot of different things the most important being what someone is willing to pay.

2004....then its a chain drive. Old school. $1000-$1200, if everything works, to an end user. I'm assuming he (or she) will need to replace a thing or two.

things have changed quite abit, actually....feeder is pretty different that it was....now its direct drive, no chains, etc. From the outside, looks pretty much the same............

I respectively disagree. By your logic a new car is used because they started it at the factory...then the car carrier started it then the dealership...then test drives ect. It is obviously not burned 1 bag of pellets .Best fire is a very good dealer and IMHO , it makes sense to run it through its paces prior to going out the door... I'll post a picture soon.

Then perhaps you should be clearer in your statement. You said "It was fires up at store" I took that to mean it was fired in the store as a burn model. If you meant that it was test fired once at the store, then saying "test fired once at the store" or "tested at the store one bag" would be much clearer. Not to be picky about language but proper usage of it prevents misunderstandings. I won't remark about your comment on respect.
