Had a heck of a squall blow through a couple hours ago. Had everything heavy rain, thunder, wind, humidity . Was raining so hard I thought I was back overseas in the south pacific o_O It rained very hard nonstop for about 45 minutes to a hour

I have a small creek running through my back yard and I satck my wood on the other side of it, usually not a problem, except for today,Creek was slowly raising during storm, but after it stopped raining creek just kept on raising and threatened my dry seasoned wood for this winter, bottom rows got a little wet before it all stopped

We've had a very strange summer for sever short rain storms. At least 3 maybe 4. Few inches in less than an hour. Driveway starts to fill up, rear gravel driveway starts to float away, its not fun.

Elder, it may be a good time to think about diggin' that ditch a little deeper, especially in the area of the fence.......
Close call on the wood, we have a small stream on the backside of our woodstack and several times it's been up near the top of the banks during the really bad storms, but never too close to the woodstacks...

And 8 hours later your firewood was back to where it started. A little short term soak won't have a heck of alot of long term effect. Don't worry - be happy.

Sounds like the weekly occurrence here on the east coast as well. 6 days pleasant, 1 day 4"+ of rain in 5 hours.

yeah i know, Just hate for the bottom rows to get drenched, especially in the winter as that 3 row covered stack is my seasoned wood for heating. But yeah no harm
