The full comp is beating the skip chain every time by about 3 seconds. With the 8 pin rim on, I'm using a light touch and pretty much just letting the saw drop through the log via gravity. This is in about 20" of Red Oak. Gonna sink this saw into 30"+ Maple on Monday....

The test went as I expected but honestly I was expecting a bigger difference. You can feel the difference in the cut for sure tho. Now I'm intrigued to see what happens in bigger wood.

Hey BTW guys and gals, that's the MS460 with an aftermarket 52mm big bore kit in the vid. I decided to switch it up a bit since there is little video of that saw. As you can see, that kit runs pretty good out of the box.

It is a Hyway kit. Seals, bearings, the DP muffler and of course the top end.

Ok, so I got was using a rather light touch with the 8 pin rim setup and decided to give it a go with the 7 pin.



Here's the interesting part. The times didn't change all that much.
