I have seen one in action, not the fastest, but the dual action makes up for that.
 
Nice compact unit. I have a 5 ton single action and like it very much. I'm only splitting at home and I think a 10ton electric is a great idea for home use.
 
I have one of the Homelite 5-ton units. I love it, but once in awhile I think a few more tons would be nice. That's what caught my eye about these units. The cycle time on the 10-ton unit is 16 sec., which is painfully slow considering that most pieces will split well before the end of the stroke and there is no auto-retract. The slow speed must be a result of increasing the cylinder size (to get more tonnage) without changing the pump or motor. I would rather have a two-speed single action (like the Pow R Kraft and Woodeze 7-ton units) rather than the dual action.

Edit: They claim 2.5 hp for the 10-ton unit, but I question that. 2 hp is a stretch for a 110v. circuit.
