Goodbye 362 - I hardly knew ye

After testing out my new to me 262xp, and deciding to keep it as my main saw, I decided I'd have to sell my mint MS362 - no need for two 60cc saws. Listed on CL and sold pretty quick for $550 - exactly what I paid for the saw about 7 months ago (used). I only had a chance to run the 362 for about 2 hours and it was very nice to run. Kind of wanted to keep it regardless, but, need to stay rational. Looking forward to tuning the 262xp and getting some cutting done - should be hitting the woods to cut in about 3 weeks. Cheers!

They actually were worth close to the same money - I had offers of $450 for the 20 year old 262xp. I leaned toward the 262xp for a few reasons. I really like the relative simplicity of working on the older model saws - from my experience, just a much nicer saw to work on - the 262xp is a bit of a legend in the old Husq line-up. The power to weight felt better on the 262xp, but the antivibe was definitely better on the MS362. One downside is gas - the 262xp is a thirsty beast - the MS362 sipped gas. Lastly, I only paid $40 plus $35 shipping for the 262xp from a co-worker's Dad (sight unseen - wasn't expecting the saw to be near mint), so, after adding a new 20" bar, I was in the 262xp for about $120 - one of the best deals I'll likely ever get. The extra cash back in my pocket from the 362 will let me save for some other tools and I still have an excellent 60cc saw for personal use. Cheers!

Those are great $ for both saws.
The free (or close to) saws always seem to be better then the full price ones for some reason..

Thanks Dex - no regrets on the decision to keep the Husq and sell the Stihl - both great saws, but I think i was meant to have the 262! Cheers!

its funny, I have a 009L that someone gave me from under a pile of rubbish, that I love for some reason. reach for it anytime I can. the 200t that I paid top dollar for just sits unless I actually have "work" to do with it...

I plan on getting rid of my 361 when I die. That 262 must be a real sweetheart if the 362 is anywhere near as nice to run as a 361 (which I'm guessing it is).

Call me the crazy guy...I have had ( at the same time) a 360/361/362...the 361 is what I got rid of...simply because it returned the highest dollar. I don't see a difference between the three but the 362( all three stock) is my favorite...again probably because I picked it up for a song. 361's sell super fast. 362 is super fuel miserly.
