Hmmm...not big enough.
Exactly.

I need a 3.5 cu ft Blaze King that takes a 6" liner.

The new steel Woodstock stove offers me hope for my future setup.

That can't be a BK looks way to nice. Has anyone saw the dressed up door yet? BKVP mentioned one was going to be available.

That's awesome, BUT, that does not look like just a small amount of wood. Looks like a considerable load to me.

The stove resembles the Lopi cape stove a bit. Will be nice to see haw it performs when it gets cold out. Man, that cat looks like it is raging!
I consider half full of staggered splits a small amount.

We'll have more in 3-4 weeks! Selling fast. Being based upon same proven 30 firebox, we have confidence folks will love them.

As for the 20 (we need a rest!) but likely 2014-2015 season. Thanks for the positive comments.

Chris

I noticed they're offering a 10 year warranty on the cat, in this stove. Maybe others do this, but I'm used to seeing only 5 - 6 years on most I've shopped.

All the Blaze Kings now have the 10 year warranty!

Yeah - but have you seen that thing.;sick

Sorry for the side track.

Chris - you guys at Bk did a fine job on the styling of the Ashford. Kudos

I'm over here rockin' a 30. I've gotten to the point where I am a little more forgiving of stove designs. I'm holding out hope that the final design is appealing since all we have seen are renderings and extreme close ups... unless there are photos floating around that I am unaware of.

That cat is glowing hot. I stalled mine this morning after 11 hours. Too little heat demand and too low setting I guess.

I got the Ashford installed and have had a few fires in it so far. I thought I would start up a thread with some experiences and pics of it. I will keep updating as it gets colder out. I'm very impressed with it so far!

Very nice! It looks like you had the BK King, why did you get rid of it? I thought the king was the ultimate especially when you say that one stove would not heat your entire house? This is my problem as well by the way...

If you hadn't noticed, I don't keep stoves very long ;sick. The King was a great stove, I sold it because I needed the cash at the time. It and now the Ashford are located at the far end of the house and around the corner. It worked, but no too well. It's a
long way to move the heat. Adding a second stove in the middle of the house made a huge difference!

Agreed, this is the first BK that my wife 'might' approve for the living room. She still prefers a stove door with some muntins. But overall this is a good step for BK and I hope it sells well for them. Webby, can you post a picture with the convective top off?
Here it is with the top off. It exposes the steel top.

Looking good, webby.

The door handle/latch is completely different from from the King and Princess, and even looks different than the Chinook. Is it a big improvement? I've had no problems yet with mine, but I haven't had to adjust it.

I like the latch on the Ashford, not crazy about the one's on the King and Princess.

I don't know if its necessarily any better, just different. That being said, it does look sweet and functions awesome! It looks like a big hunting knife to me.

There, that's more like it. This is the first full load in the Ashford.

Gotta love a stove you can fill with a bunch of smallish rounds like that, and still control.

Man, I'm still working on last night's half load. Is it cold down there?

Congratulations, Blaze King makes a fantastic stove! Treat it properly like a cat stove should be and it will repay you ten-fold.

I've gone 16 months without buying a stove! New record!

I keep piling them up in the basement. I seriously need to either sell them or open a used stove dealership. Just keep cringing at the thought of humping them out of there.

I hear ya! I have 4 in the garage and 2 in the house. Last year I had an enamel 602 as end table in the house! I've got an issue!
