There's no real handbook for parenting. You are on your own 95% of the time. Don't fret too much. He may end up a bit ornery and independent, but it has worked out ok for his mom so far. If he ends up a compassionate and happy human being you have done well, even if he doesn't agree with you all the time.

Life is too short for regret and you can't change the past.
I have my own list locked away in the deep nooks and crannies of my memory banks, and I think I'll keep it there.
