Picked it up today, installation complete, first fire in the morning! I'm going to be like a kid sleeping on Christmas Eve. We went with the brown enamel. It is gorgeous:)

Envy. Envy. Envy. Turning a little green here. ;sick

Nice! Enjoy it, nothing like wood heat! Nice stone work too!

That's a mighty handsome stove you have there. It's going to look even better with a fire glowing inside.

WOWY ZOWY !! That's nice !! :):)

I'm waiting for a Blaze King Ashford in brown enamel and I hope it looks as nice as that color does.

Very nice! You might want to slide that tv and stand a little further away, mine throws off heat like a monster!! Anxious to hear how you like yours, mine has us sleeping in our skivvies haha!!

I second the thought about monitoring the temperature of your TV and cabinet. I have a similar set up in my lower level with my Woodstock Classic, which is soapstone and doesn't throw the radiant heat as intense as the Manchester is likely to do and I had to put up a heat shield to keep my TV table and electronics from over heating.

I think your new stove looks great and will be looking forward to hear how you like its performance.

Wow, I'm really liking it in brown! Maybe another Chester will be my stove #2.

Fire in it yet?

Tv and stand were just there for the moment. They had to be moved from elsewhere in the room so that was their temporary home until we got the stove installed. Plan is for a wall-mounted tv on that same wall but further away and higher up on the wall.

Very nice looking stove, looks alot like my Efel from the door, glass, gaskets, knife edge seal, grate with pan, just bigger !
You will like the porcelain finish, easy to clean and care for. Post a pic when you fire that looker up.
Did I mention thats a good looking stove….

Nice!

Well? Whats the news? Thumbs up or what? I'm anxiously awaiting your feedback. Hope you like yours as much as I like mine so far

congrats! enjoy the heat.

I just noticed the soapstone in yours was left uncovered, that looks a whole lot better than the black paint they put on mine.

IMG_20121209_133358_281.jpg Interesting...this is a pic I took at the dealer before I bought my Manchester (which was December 2012). If you look at the back of the firebox mine looks like it has less soapstone in it. That or the soapstone in configured in a different way.

This stove is awesome. Send more pictures with a fire in that beast!

Anybody figured out yet with an IR gun where a good spot is for the stove top meter? Can you slip it under the jacket, on top of the fire box, or is it gonna have to be on the side somewhere?

The top can be removed but I just use my I.R. gun to check the temp. The hottest spot on mine is usually just forward and to the right of the stove pipe.

Gorgeous!!! You are going to love that stove and it will make the winters enjoyable.

Put on some good tunes, get a nice book, put up your feet and let the stove warm your toes! :)

So far so good. We are on a learning curve for sure on getting the stove started and we haven't really loaded it because it hasn't been cold enough to need it yet but I love watching this thing and it really is a beautiful addition to our living room.

Sitting at a nice cozy 70 degrees in here now-very happy.

You'll get your chance soon if you are getting what we're getting; Lows Tues. and Wed, 17 and 24. !!!

We have had ours for 11 months and biggest thing I learned is that it takes time to heat up, with all the cast iron and soap stone. Plus being in my uninsulatd basrment it takes more time to push heat thru the house. But with the new windows and attic door insulation, the house stays warmer longer. What a grand stove.
