Magnum Countryside 3500 Pellets in Multi-Fuel Pot Question

Hello,

I rehabbed a 3500 stove about 4 years ago, never been super impressed with its performance. Maybe it is in my operation? I will say it is nice to have it as a secondary heat source to the Woodstock.

Setup and Changes:

I installed it with a 45 elbow /T/ and a short section out the wall. No issues with negative air pressure that I am aware of.

New gaskets and new higher output draft motor.

The stove came with a clinker-less pot bio fuel pot. The bushings, burn pot and motor are shot for the stir pot.

Operation:

Running Spearfish premium pellets. 1/4" pullout on the draft rod.

I seem to get better heat output when leaving the pot 1/2- 3/4 full of ash and coals. Anyone else observe this?

Anyone have any tips or observations with this pellet stove/pellet pot? I think mine is the older version with the spaces on the top of the frame. I have never ran the stirrer and am almost tempted to fix it and give it a try, but a new pot/ motor and bushings seems high cost for an experiment.

I've had my 3500P for about 4 years and the draft motor is getting tired. Today after cleaning the stove, it wouldn't spin until I helped it and sprayed it with some lithium grease (once it was going)...

You mentioned you installed a new higher output draft motor... Mind sharing where you got it from?

I run the stirrer on the "1" setting and it seems to keep up. This year, I'm using pellets that are less BTU than last year. Frustrated with the manufacturer as they are the same exact brand as last year (Green Supreme).

I got the higher output one from a dealer, but they list the higher output one right on the AES website under parts.
