Insert - tree on the door, blower. Vents are on the bottom - rectangle output on the top-rear.

Could it be from the elm foundry? The one that makes the new ones in VT?

Not likely - this is a North Carolina (type) design (Buck copy) if I ever saw one! Dozens of brands were made trying to capitalize on Bucks success - among them Craft, Batcave, Apache, Squire, Black Bart, Silent Flame, Appalachian, etc.
