Can we have more than one pellet pig member level?

This way we could have more pellet pigs. And we all can feel proud of our Oink Oink level.

5 levels of status. 1 being the highest. We also need to name the levels and require tonage to achieve that level. We now have HOGZILLA thanks to macman.

This is just a rough start if we can go further!

Level 1= more than 8 tons

Level 2= 5.1 to 8 tons (hogzilla)

Level 3= 3.5 to 5 tons

Level 4= 2.1 to 3.4 tons

Level 5= 1.5 to 2 tons

Please cast your vote.

Thanks

Level 2 checking in............

Another Level 2 -

Level two for me. Energex has been a real good pellet with my set up. Never had tar or had to scrap anything. Would get a crumbly biscuit in the burn pot that lifted right out.. Vac the inside, leaf blower trick to the stack, and all is well. Grateful for all the insight gained from this forum.

Level 3 here. Would like to be a level 2 or 1, but don't have room after getting wood in for the boiler. Also, can't afford a divorce right now. :)

How about some names for the other levels?

I am very jealous of Macmans "Hogzilla" title!!!

Old Ranger

Currently holding at Level 1

Made level 1 by a bag or 2 plus a full hopper.

Hold the phone guys! I thought the charter stated more than a mere 1.5 tons was required. Also, level such and such isn't up to snuff either. I propose the following
Level 1 = BACON
Level 2 = CHOPS
Level 3 = Sausage
Level 4 = Sooey
Level 5 = Spam

These of course are only suggestions, but you get the drift. Anyone second the motion? Anyone for seconds?

Souzafone,

We can start were ever you like or we can vote for the levels. Its all talk for right now. We need the grand pooba and 2nd high command macman to weight in.

By the way, I'm at level 3. Still haven't been givin the OK as a pellet pig.

I was just trying to give everyone pig status.

This may be viewed as "trying to give everyone a medal". Let us not water down the accomplishments of the Pigs. But I do think a "junior" status should be available to those who dream of having 7 tons.

I personally don't have pellet at my house, but at work I burn close to 8 tons a year, and I'm responsible for the cleaning and whatnot. Does this qualify me in any way?

From the Original posting. I thought it was 3 tons in the spring with at least 1 ton in October. Must haul your own yadda yadda!

You guys keep saying 7 tons. Ok maybe pig status isn't for everyone But the 3 ton burners and up should be allowed in!

I wish I was a 7 tonner, But Glad I only have to pay for the 4 I need to burn.

Again it's just a thought.

OK, first of all, let me clear one thing up....the person who started the Pellet Pig movement is none other than eernest4 (you pellet pigs should be ashaimed of yourselves!), who is the Grand Poobah. I am not the 2nd High Grand Pooba...that honor belongs to Eric at Kinsman. I am but a simple Pellet Pig Treasurer (remember to keep sending those Bi-annual $50 dues ;-) )

Now, that being said, the original pellet Pig "charter" called for a minimum of 3 tons and you had to have had hauled it yourself in a pickup truck. 4 tons and up, you were a pig even if you had them delivered.

As for "levels", I'm all for that, but I think it should be the other way.....Level 1 is for 3 tons + pickup truck, etc. etc , and the highest level (after level 5 Hogzilla), would be Hogzilla Gold!!

We could even have "piglet" level (less than 3 tons).

Anyway, you get the idea.

Macman, Seeing as you are the first apointed hogzilla. I would be honored if you would take the rains here. You seem to have a knack for this kinda stuff.

Please give us what would be your layout for the levels and requirements.

I wounder what Eric will say???

Yes, I'm pretty interested in what Eric will say too....he's pretty quiet on the forum in the summer, plus the new store has him pretty busy too.

As for the levels of pellet piggishness, here's my thoughts:

1 bag - 149 bags = Piglet (“I am not tucking you in or leaving the light on for you. You need to be a big pig now…” Manonfire)

3 tons brought home in pickup truck = Level 1 pellet pig

3+ = Level 2

4+ = " 3

5+ = " 4

6+ = " 5

7+ = " HOGZILLA

8+ = HOGZILLA GOLD

22 tons tractor load = Lifetime member, and HOGZILLA Platinum level.

Maybe Eric can make it worthwhile to reach level 7 and above by giving away a case of Bud Light and a bag of ProPellets :cheese:

I like it! There is a level for all us piggies. Plus think of the money the dues will bring in. Each member will still be at$50 right?

Psst! what we gonna buy with it????hehe Oops-shhh!

we go through approximately 50 tons a year , but thats year round , you will not see a day at ESW when pellets arent being burnt.

guess on the pellet pig scale we're "hogzilla" i imagine most manufacturers are similar in "pellet glutany"

personally i use 1.5 to 2 ton in a winter so i had to toss our company specs out there first just to catch the eye lol

BTW the units we burn in testing (usually a few bags per unit) are sold along along with refurbs(that i do personally) and factory seconds on ebay through a local distributer at a signifigant discount, still with new stove warranty and free shipping (PM if interested i will get you in touch) note , im not the seller on the deal but the guy who does this is a friend of mine and a pretty good guy.

6 tons here, but I submit, a pellet pig would have to be a home-burned situtation, rather than commercial, because if so, at work, we burn 4 stoves.....ugh....now Im getting a headache!
