Greetings folks. I've got a good one. Did a weekly cleaning on my Harman P61A yesterday. Fired it up and everything worked proper. Ignition, feed, blower all right on cue. This morning I come downstairs to find the whole bottom of the stove full to the burn pot with un-burnt pellets. Cleaned that all out, plugged her back in and after a short period of time, maybe a minute, all the lights, with the exception of the power light, started blinking on and off. Ran the test mode and after awhile it started doing the same thing. Shut her back down again. We've had this stove probably 10 years or so and aside from a blower motor and a couple of igniters she's worked like a charm. I always give her weekly clean out and a big going over when the ash hopper is full. I also run her mainly in the automatic mode. I'm open for any suggestions this forum can give. Thanks in advance for any help and advice you can give me cause I'm stumped.

That doesn't sound good....all the lights are flashing? Feed motor, igniter, dist blower, and status? Count the flashes...is it continuous?

Check the leads on the room temp probe. I had an issue with all kinds of lights when the wires became shorted. Even went and bought a new board till when chasing a screw behind stove discovered the frayed wires attached to the stoves back panel receptacle. Have a cat? Heard of several chewed ends.
All lights are flashing except for the power light. The lights are flashing but it's all random, there is no pattern to it.
No animals around the house. But I will check that out. I was wondering about putting her in manual mode and see what happens. Thanks.

I would take a look at everything you did yesterday again. Make sure you didn't inadvertently dislodge a wire or something. Are you running Room Temp or Stove temp auto?
All my cleaning yesterday was in the burn pot area, nothing around a wire. Whenever I got done cleaning she fired right up, no problem. I run her in the Room Temp mode.

Do you ever clean the ESP probe or the fines box? Try running it in stove temp mode and see what happens.
I normally clean the ESP probe when I clean out the fines box which is approximately twice a year or when it gets full. I give it a good all over cleaning then.

I think I got her fixed. Don't know for sure exactly what I did but it's working now. I took the control panel off vacuumed and checked it, especially the J2 connector, all looked good. Then I took the ESP probe out and gave it a light sanding. Plugged it back in and she took off and ran like normal. Like I said, don't quite know what I did but it worked. Thanks again for all the insight especially for checking the wiring and the ESP probe. When I clean I usually just vacuum off the probe never light sand it, maybe that's what did it. Again, thanks loads.

Yep. Just like she always did. Like I said, I don't quite know what I did but apparently what residue was on the ESP probe was enough to hinder it. Light sanding that and or unplugging the J2 connector and re-inserting it, could have had some dust on the contacts, was enough to correct the problem. Harman Lover asked if all the lights were flashing and I said yes they were but then I disregarded the other blinking lights and looked only at the status light, it was flashing twice. That prompted me to the J2 area. Lucky me it wasn't anything more serious. Sometimes the cure is staring us right in the face but we new need someone else to help jump start our brain. Thanks to the forum for the help in directing me to the possible causes.

How easy is it to access the ESP? I always simply vacuum the exhaust out and lightly brush with a small paint brush. How do I remove and clean in the future if anything should go wrong? I have an Accentra.
I have a P61A but hopefully it would be about the same. Mine is on the side of the exhaust tube with one screw holding it in. I took off the right side skirt and it was in plain sight. My first thing to find was the J2 connection on the control panel, I followed the wire from there to the ESP probe. Up until then I didn't know how they were connected. I always just vacuumed mine off too but after 10 years it needed a better cleaning. Go to this YouTube video, it will show you better then I can explain. Good luck.

Thanks for the info on cleaning the ESP. Like others, I've only brushed it and vacuumed. Stove isn't even a year old yet, so don't anticipate issues right now, but for the future it is nice to have the info.
