Checked with Long Island NY supplier to find out he is already sold out of the Okengan Platinum and not expecting any. They have burned well for me before.

He recommended the La Crete softwoods. Any experience with them please?

I bought Okanagan DF in light of the platinum shortage.

There are lots of comments regarding La Crete pellets on this site. Just poke around and you will find them. In general, they are very well liked. I don't think the Okie Platinum shortage is as bad as some think. I bought some in May and as recently as two weeks ago there were still more available.

I have a pallet coming for my mini this week. Most reviews have been very positive. Looking forward to seeing a difference.

I have been very happy with the La Crete that I have used. I do not have any experience with Okanagan.

What is the current price on the La Cretes per ton?

Thanks

Anyone have experience with hardwood versus softwood pellets in general and especially in an Enviro Empress AFS stove? What prices are you seeing in the Mid-Coast Maine areqa for Ekonagan (sp?) and Nothern New England pellets? Thanks. TomW

Personally, I like good softwoods... If you are a woodburner, you absolutely have to get that
cordwood mentality out of your system.. ;)

Just priced out on lunch... $299/ton up here.

From what I've heard from everyone, I think I am going to pull the trigger on 2 tons this week.

Edit: Just went up to $324/ton. Getting ridiculous.

Cubex are going up to $375/ton which just seems like highway robbery.

A place near me is selling them for $360/1.2ton ($299/ton).

My dealer is selling the La Cretes for $359 for the 1.2 tons.

I've got my 6 pallets, 7.2 tons coming this Saturday.

I had pre ordered 5 pallets of lacretes for 387 for 60 bag pallets.... Now I was just told that my supplier won't even be able to get any la creates this year.... Mill is beyond backed up according to them..... Forced to go oki gold cuz that's all I can get at this point...

where on Long Island are you getting La Crete? Bravo? I am on LI as well

Allers lumber in Lindenhurst, but they don't really push them. I haven't called to see what they have this year. What is Bravo charging for a ton of La Cretes this year?

What I thought. I saw a place on vets Hwy yesterday. I have to look it up and call
