Growing up on the farm we heated and cooked only with wood and had no indoor plumbing.
After high school I said NEVER again will I have to cut another piece of firewood.
1976 bought a 1793 colonial (all original = no insulation) with 35 acres. Burned wood for another 25 years. Stopped in 2001 and said NEVER again.
Retired at 50 and opened an antique store.
Now looking at installing a wood boiler in the chickencoop for the house and barn. MORE WOOD
! I gotta be outta my mind
