Born and raised in northern virginia, inside the capital beltway of Washington D.C. Graduated from the University of Mary Washington College, B.S. Business Administration. Worked in New York City after graduation for Scholastic Incorporated. Left NY and moved to Portland, OR to pursue a career in construction. Owned and operated an independant construction contracting firm specializing in exterior renovation. Sold business and returned to the publishing industry working for S&C International. While working at S&C I returned to school studying automotive service and repair at Porland Community College. Earned my ASE Master Technician status in 2003. Sometime in between all of this I met my wife Amy, the love of my life. Amy found a job in Yakima, WA, and so we moved from Portland to Yakima with our 2 dogs. I worked as a repair technician for General Motors and Amy was working at Smiths Aerospace. We fell in love with Yakima, bought a house, and adopted 2 more dogs. In 2005 Amy was diagnosed with cancer, specifically Large Diffuse B Cell Lymphoma. I resigned from GM, and we went to live in Seattle while Amy sought treatment at the SCCA. Sadly, Amy lost her battle with cancer this past July ('06). I miss her every day. I fill my time by renovating the house, taking on side automotive jobs, and restoring my International Scouts. I'm busy finishing the basement to include an apartment to help with the mortgage. Other plans include refinishing the hardwood floors, a kitchen and bathroom remodel, to name a few. Projects are endless in an old home.
